The Dallas Cowboys won an important game, beating the Seattle Seahawks 34-9 –– but they lost two important players: Running back Marion Barber and outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware both left the game with injuries.
The apathetic Seahawks meanwhile played the game like they were all injured, and you couldn’t help but get the feeling that they didn’t want to be there.
Dallas started out strong, scoring in their first three possessions. Tony Romo accrued 331 yards, doling out touchdown passes to three different players, Jason Witten, Terrell Owens and Martellus Bennett. Witten, a tight end, was a force for the Cowboys, catching for 115 yards. Owens made a few circus catches on the way to gaining 98 yards, including an impossible 38-yard grab that set up Dallas for a touchdown.
