It’s only been a week since the Arizona Cardinals lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII, and already the team has several issues to address this offseason.
As expected, offensive coordinator Todd Haley bolted to Kansas City to take the head coaching job there.
And defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast was fired by head coach Ken Whisenhunt, with Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker coach and former Seattle Seahawk Keith Butler rumored to be the top candidate for the job.
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin says his relationship with the Cardinals brass is not repairable, and wants out.
Quarterback Kurt Warner doesn’t know if he’ll be back, and Boldin’s decision could have an effect on whether he comes back or not.
And the Cardinals opened negotiations with top free agent, linebacker Karlos Dansby.
In short, the Cardinals have a lot of work to do this offseason in order to keep this team together that made a surprising run to the Super Bowl.
