Linebacker Lofa Tatupu at the Seattle Make-A-Wish-Foundation Gala

On Saturday, March 14, 2009, Seattle Seahawks linebacker, Lofa Tatupu joined more than 800 guests in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s annual Wish Night Gala & Auction at the Westin Seattle. It was a very special night as he was reunited with 17-year-old Jeffrey of Sultan who he had met several months ago when he granted his wish. Had they not been introduced, Lofa may not have recognized Jeffrey as he was 25 pounds heavier after recently receiving a life-saving liver transplant.

In addition to attending the event with his lovely fiancée Rachael, Lofa surprised Jeffrey and his family with the generous gift of a vacation package to Cannon Beach that he had won during the bidding. The Wish Night Gala was a huge success having raised $727,939 to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions throughout Alaska, Montana, Northern Idaho & Washington.

  1. I guess The Seahawks would not expect him to stop drinking after his arrest for drunk driving, Hopefully he has learned his lesson and is not driving after this Gala event!
