
Ten teams representatives showed up to watch 12 players work out indoors on FieldTurf at Indiana’s pro day on March 10. The following were the notable prospects:
WR Andrew Means (6-foot 5/8, 213 pounds) got some attention with a blazing 4.36 in the 40, an impressive 6.89 in the three-cone drill and 18 bench press reps. He is currently in the Reds’ baseball training camp.
KR/RB Marcus Thigpen (5-9, 185 pounds) ran a 4.47 and 4.48 in the 40, had a 35-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, 6-inch broad jump, a 4.16 short shuttle, a 7.20 three-cone drill and 21 bench press reps.
K Austin Starr (6-2 5/8, 201 pounds) just did position drills.
Vanderbilt
Twenty team representatives were there to watch nine players work out outdoors on FieldTurf. Two defensive backs coaches were in attendance.
The strength coach does a great job of getting everything organized. Here were the notable prospects:
CB D.J. Moore (5-9, 184 pounds) ran a 4.59 and 4.57 in the 40 with a 5-10 mph wind at his back. He had a 4.45 short shuttle, a 7.0 three-cone drill and worked out as a DB, a kick returner and at wide receiver.
WR George Smith (6-2 1/2, 200 pounds) ran a 4.70 and 4.67 in the 40, had a 34 1/2-inch vertical, a 10-foot, 4-inch broad jump, a 4.35 short shuttle, a 7.10 three-cone drill and did 10 bench press reps.
S Rashard Langford (6-1, 212 pounds) ran a 4.69 and 4.68 in the 40, had a 10-foot, 3-inch broad jump, a 38-inch vertical jump, a 4.23 short shuttle, a 7.17 three-cone drill and did 17 bench press reps.
Tennessee State
Twenty team representatives came to watch 24 prospects work out outdoors on grass. Here are the notable prospects:
OT Cornelius Lewis (6-3 1/2, 336 pounds) had a 24-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot, 3-inch broad jump, a 4.95 short shuttle, a 7.96 three-cone drill and did 31 bench press reps.
RB Javarris Williams (5-9 3/4, 223 pounds) had a 4.73 short shuttle and a 7.26 three-cone drill.
C Cecil Newton (6-1 5/8, 300 pounds) ran a 5.24 and 5.13 in the 40, had a 25 1/2-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot, 2-inch broad jump, a 4.15 short shuttle, a 7.55 three-cone drill and did 25 bench press reps.
