Seattle Seahawks rookie linebacker Aaron Curry suffered a right hip pointer late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Houston Texans.
Seahawks coach Jim Mora said Curry will travel home with the team and undergo an MRI exam on Monday.
Curry, Seattle's first-round draft pick, was injured while trying to make a tackle. He was hit in the back by fellow linebacker David Hawthorne and lay on the field for a few minutes before being taken away on a cart.
“It's a pain deal,” Mora said. “It didn't look like he could walk off the field.”
Curry had three tackles in Sunday's game. He said X-rays were negative and added that he was feeling better about 30 minutes after the game.
“I didn't get any strength back in my (right) leg until after the ride to the X-ray machine,” Curry said. “After that, everything kind of calmed down.
