The keynote speaker at the 2010 Seattle-area Eagle Scout Banquet at the Bellevue Hyatt on Wednesday night, Seattle Seahawks Matt Hasselbeck spoke to the 214 new initiates about leadership and the responsibility they have to carry on the legacy of their predecessors. During his 15-minute speech, the veteran quarterback, whose father-in-law is an eagle scout, shared experiences from his childhood, college life and pro career that have developed and honed his leadership qualities, with the intention of passing the lessons on to Seattle’s newest eagle scouts.
“You are marked men,” Hasselbeck said. “Continue to lead; continue to serve.”
