Kole Heckendorf, a wide receiver who spent last season on the Lions practice squad, has been claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks.
Heckendorf is a 6-2, 191-pounder out of North Dakota State who originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with Green Bay last year, then was released after training camp before being signed by the Lions.
He was a four-year starter at North Dakota State, where he finished as the leading receiver in school history with 178 reception for 2,732 yards and 17 touchdowns.
To make room on their 80-man roster, the Seahawks released receiver Chris Duvalt, an undrafted rookie out of Illinois who was signed a week ago after receiving a mini-camp tryout.
