RENTON, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks and Qwest Field announced today a five-year agreement with Coca-Cola as their official soft drink partner.

Beginning on July 1, Coca-Cola will be the exclusive provider of all sparkling soft drink products for all Qwest Field and Qwest Field Event Center events and the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. All sparkling beverages offered at concession stands will be packaged in The Coca-Cola Company’s innovative 20-ounce ‘PlantBottle.’™ The new 100 percent recyclable PlantBottle is made from a blend of up to 30 percent plant-based materials. Qwest Field is the only NFL venue in the nation to offer all sparkling beverages of The Coca-Cola Company exclusively in the PlantBottle package.

“Coca-Cola and the Seahawks have had a very successful history together and we look forward to re-launching our partnership,” said Vulcan Sports & Entertainment CEO Tod Leiweke. “Coke’s long-standing commitment to quality, service, and football, matches up perfectly with our brand and mission. We will do big things together to benefit our fans and the community… stay tuned, we’re going to have some fun!”

“Seahawks fans will now be able to open a Coke and Open Happiness whenever they cheer on their favorite team,” said Sharon Byers, Vice President, National Programs and Regional Asset Management, Coca-Cola North America. “Together with our partners at Qwest Field, we’re ready to kick off an exciting and mutually beneficial relationship and re-establish Coca-Cola as part of the Seahawks tradition.”

“As the local Coca-Cola bottler and distributor, we recognize that Qwest Field is a premier sports and entertainment venue committed to delivering the best brands to visitors,” said Coca-Cola Enterprises Market Unit Vice President, Bob Slack. “By joining forces with Qwest Field and a championship team like the Seattle Seahawks, we’ll be refreshing and uplifting passionate local and visiting fans when they come together to celebrate and create winning memories.”
