At least that’s what Houshmandzadeh told Brian McGovern and Randy Cross during a Wednesday night interview on Sirius Radio. Houshmandzadeh led the club last season with 79 receptions – his lowest total since catching 78 for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2005. Houshmandzadeh caught 112 passes for the Bengals in 2007. He also had 92 catches in 2008 and 90 in 2006.
Here, as supplied by Sirius, is what Houshmandzadeh had to say about the 2010 season, and new coach Pete Carroll:
On his expectations for this season: “I think 100 catches, to me, should be the minimum I get this year just because of the offense we’re in. I don’t feel like last year, I wasn’t a priority in the game plan and I was almost so much told that last year. That’s just not how it’s gonna be. After I got there, not before. And so I believe this year it’s gonna be one of those things where, T.J., you’re gonna have to show us that you can carry the load or you’re not going to carry the load. You’re going to either fail or succeed. And I welcome that. Don’t let me sit on the fence. Let me show you I can do it or let me show you I can’t. And I look forward to that because I’m going to show them that I can do it.”Seahawks 12th Man Army has now gone mobile!
