Ochocinco will ‘lobby heavily’ for return of T.J.

Well, it was really only a matter of time. Within a couple of hours of the report by La Canfora that the Seahawks informed veteran T.J. Houshmandzadeh that he will be released if no trade options materialize, we heard from Ochocinco, who opened his arms wide for a return of his former teammate.

Ochocinco went right to Twitter to discuss a potential reunion.

“Disturbing news, I can’t even fathom the thought of a receiver the caliber of Housh being traded let alone released, I will be lobbying heavy,” Ochocinco Tweeted. “My success over my career has been enabled because of the play of Housh on the opposite side of me and I’d be happy to have him back.”

Ochocinco also offered a thought on his own football mortality: “Situations like this is what scares me about the business side of the NFL which is why I play this game the way I do, having FUN, unbelievably.”

We took an early look at potential suitors for Houshmandzadeh, without including the Bengals. One thing the NFL news desk can’t come to a consensus on is if Houshmandzadeh did return to Cincinnati, would he represent Cat Woman to T.O.’s and Ochocinco’s Batman and Robin?
