On this Election Day, Seahawks rookie free safety Earl Thomas has been selected to Peter King’s midseason All-Pro team.
Thomas already has four interceptions – one shy of the Seahawks’ record for a rookie – and also is fourth on the team with 33 tackles.
“Earl has extraordinary range and he’s just so quick to be at top speed that he does have the ability,” coach Pete Carroll said last week.
Carroll then pointed to Thomas’ fourth interception, which came against the Arizona Cardinals.
“Earl was playing deep middle and he caught the fade route,” Carroll said. “He has the ability to range as well as anybody that can play. He’s that fast.”
King obviously agrees, as he tabbed the 14th pick in the first round of April’s draft for his midseason team that will appear in this week’s issue of Sports Illustrated.
