Colin Cole, John Carlson return to practice

Published on December 8, 2010 by     Seahawks.Com News (Feed)

Both tight end John Carlson and defensive Colin Cole returned to practice today, and were welcomed additions on the practice field.

And long with working with the first unit defense, Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley said Cole also got few reps with the scout team just to get some extra work in.

Bradley said Cole should help in terms of adding depth along the defensive front line.

“We’ve got more depth now,” Bradley said. “We can keep guys fresher He probably won’t play 60 plays are anything like that, but it just adds to where we have more flexibility.

“We’re looking at some different things, but it’s just to see how CC (Cole) does this week will be the big thing.”

Offensive lineman Chester Pitts did not practice today, but worked along the sidelines of Seattle’s indoor practice facility while the rest of his teammates went through practice.

Both Carlson (hip) and Cole (ankle) appeared to not be slowed by their injuries.

Wide receivers Mike Williams (ankle) and Ben Obomanu (hand) did not practice today, as head coach Pete Carroll indicated during today’s press conference.

Others not practicing for Seattle include Lofa Tatupu (knee), Chris Clemons (ankle) and Matt McCoy (head)

Cornerback Roy Lewis (knee) was a limited participant in practice, and Matt Hasselbeck (left wrist) was a full participant.

For San Francisco, kicker Joe Nedney (right knee) and offensive tackle Joe Staley (fibula) are out.

DT Aubrayo Franklin (groin), TE Delanie Walker (ankle), RB DeShawn Wynn (ankle), LB Takeo Spikes and RB Brian Westbrook (non-injury related) did not practice.

CB Nate Clements (knee), OT Anthony Davis (back), Lb Parys Haralson (ankle), CB William James (head), WR Josh Morgan (shoulder) and CB Shawntae Spencer (quad) were limited.
