Seattle’s mayor made a bet with his New Orleans counterpart on the outcome of Saturday’s wild-card playoff game.
“I feel kind of bad about the bet,” mayor Mike McGinn said, according to a press release from his office. “The Saints may be defending Super Bowl champs, but they’ve never won a road playoff game. The 12th Man is on it.”
Accordingly, the announcement stated the stakes that would be offered up “in the unlikely event of a Saints victory.”
1) Music from the Seattle scene
2) A dozen Top Pot maple bars
3) A pound of smoked salmon
No word on whether Seahawks receiver Golden Tate will draw extra motivation from the possibility that a dozen maple bars could be headed out of state should Seattle lose.
