Florida International held its pro day on March 3, with 12 players working out, as well as four others from smaller schools.
It took place outdoors on grass, and two Golden Panthers prospects managed to make strides with their position workouts in front of 12 teams. Whether or not they’ll find a place to play in the NFL remains to be seen, though.
WR Greg Ellingson (6-foot-3 1/8, 197 pounds) ran 4.48 (with the wind) and 4.44 seconds (against the wind) in the 40-yard dash, 4.28 in the short shuttle and 6.75 in the 3-cone drill. His vertical jump was 39 1/2 inches, and his broad jump was 10-foot-3. Ellingson also bench pressed 225 pounds four times.
CB Anthony Gaitor (5-9 7/8, 177) ran 4.45 with the wind and 4.51 against it in the 40, 4.12 in the short shuttle and 6.85 in the 3-cone drill. He also posted a 36-inch vertical and 10-6 broad jump and did 12 bench presses.
