Charley Casserly, Charles Davis and Mike Mayock discuss the impact of Boise State’s pro day Thursday on the draft stock of wide receivers Titus Young and Austin Pettis.
Mayock has Young ranked No. 5 in his position rankings and says the receiver helped himself by running better than he did at the NFL Scouting Combine.
“Remember, at the combine Young ran 4.5, which isn’t a great time for him,” said Mayock. “Today at his pro day, (scouts) had him in the low 4.4s. That’s good news for Young. Also, he caught the ball extremely well and (gets) in and out of his breaks as well as just about anyone in the country. That’s where I think he excels.”
Mayock and Casserly both project Young as a second-round pick.
