Left tackle Russell Okung suffered an injury to his left ankle at some point in the first three plays of Thursday’s exhibition opener.
It’s the second consecutive year Okung suffered a sprained left ankle in his first exhibition game last year, an injury that kept him out for the first three regular-season games.
Okung suffered a left ankle sprain in Week 7.
A first-round pick from Oklahoma State in 2010, Okung played in 10 of Seattle’s 16 games last season.
He was standing, testing the strength of his ankle on the sidelines, but was then carted off the field into the locker room.
Okung was replaced at left tackle by Tyler Polumbus.
