Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that quarterback Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral muscle) should be ready to play on Sunday against Baltimore. Jackson fully participated in practice on Friday, as the team gradually upped his reps during practice this week.
“He has no doubt in his mind that he’s playing,” Carroll said. “So that’s the way that we’re thinking, it’s a really good chance unless something doesn’t work out on Sunday morning.”
Carroll said that going through the process of managing Jackson’s injury the past, few weeks has helped Seattle better prepare the team’s starting signal caller for this week.
“He did not take all of the snaps, but was available throughout the practice,” Carroll said. “We’re trying to manage it as we learn how to handle it. And he has a lot of input on that.
“But he made it through, and that means if you look at tomorrow with a good rest day he should be okay. But he still has to go out and throw on Sunday and get warmed up and (make sure) he’s feeling okay, so we still have to wait and see.”
Receiver Sidney Rice (foot) practiced fully and will play on Sunday. Tight end Cameron Morrah (toe/knee) fully participated in practice, but will be a game-time decision. And Carroll ruled out linebacker David Vobora (concussion) for Sunday.
For Baltimore, running back Anthony Allen (thigh) is out. Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (thigh) and receiver Lee Evans (ankle) are doubtful.
Linebacker Brandon Ayanbedejo (head) is questionable. Center Matt Birk (neck), safety Ed Reed (shoulder), linebacker Terrell Suggs (knee) and tight end Kris Wilson (calf) are probable.
