The worst fears of the Seattle Seahawks came true: Defensive end Chris Clemons will miss the rest of the playoffs with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus, Ian Rapoport reported Monday. He had an appointment with Dr. James Andrews on Monday.

It’s a huge loss for the Seattle defense. Clemons led the team with 11 sacks and 37 hurries, according to Pro Football Focus. The next closest hurry total: 23 by Bruce Irvin.
Irvin will be forced into a three down-role now. He has struggled in run support.
“If Clem is out I think he has down enough these past 20 weeks of getting me ready for situations like this. I will b fine people!” Irvin tweeted on Monday.
The Atlanta Falcons have had struggles with edge rushers this year, so they should be breathing a sigh of relief. We’d also expect them to run with Jacquizz Rodgers and Michael Turner at Irvin’s side of the field.
