Series: 12-10 vs. 49ers all-time
Last meeting: at Seattle 20, San Francisco 17 (Dec. 6, 2009)
Note: Given the offseason attrition in Arizona, the 49ers may very well wind up considered the division favorite even though San Francisco hasn’t had a winning record since 2002.

Last meeting: Seattle 16, Oakland 0 (Nov. 6, 2006)

Series: 5-8 vs. Giants all-time
Last meeting: at N.Y. Giants 44, Seattle 6 (Oct. 5, 2008)
Note: The Giants haven’t played at Seattle since September 2006, a game when Seattle’s run atop the NFC crested. The Seahawks were coming off a Super Bowl appearance and they held a 42-3 lead over the Giants entering the third quarter, en route to improving to 3-0. The Seahawks gave up 27 points in the fourth quarter of that game, lost 37-6 the next in Chicago and haven’t been an elite team since then.
cardinals 2010 SCHEDULE
Week 10 At Arizona Nov. 14, 1:15 p.m.
Series: 9-13 vs. Cardinals all-time
Last meeting: at Arizona 31, Seattle 20 (Nov. 15, 2009)

Series: 5-5 vs. Saints all-time
Last meeting: New Orleans 28, at Seattle 17, (Oct. 14, 2007)

chiefs 2010 SCHEDULE
Week 12 vs. Kansas City Nov. 28, 1:05 p.m.
Series: 18-31 vs. Chiefs all-time
Last meeting: at Kansas City 35, Seattle 28 (Oct. 29, 2006)
Note: Good news for Seattle is the setting. The Seahawks are 5-20 at Kansas City compared to 13-11 in Seattle. The Chiefs have played at Qwest Field only once since it opened, losing 39-22 in November.
panthers 2010 SCHEDULE
Week 13 vs. Carolina Dec. 5, 1:15 p.m.
Series: 1-2 vs. Panthers all-time
Last meeting: at Carolina 13, Seattle 10 (Dec. 16, 2007)
Note: Can you hear me now? The Panthers couldn’t hear themselves in the huddle when they played at Qwest Field in the NFC Championship Game in January 2006. The Panthers have the same coach but a new quarterback after cutting Jake Delhomme. Jonathan Stewart of Timberline High School will play in his home state for the first time as a pro.
49ers 2010 SCHEDULE
Week 14 At San Francisco Dec. 12, 1:05 p.m.

buccaneers 2010 SCHEDULE
Week 16 At Tampa Bay Dec. 26, 10 a.m.
Series: 7-2 vs. Bucs all-time
Last meeting: at Tampa Bay 20, Seattle 10 (Oct. 19, 2008)
Note: Don’t expect fireworks in this game. Not only were these two of the eight teams in the NFL that won fewer than six games last season, but no one has scored more than 23 points in a Seahawks-Buccaneers game since they played in 1977.
rams 2010 SCHEDULE
Week 17 vs. St. Louis Jan. 2, 1:15 p.m.
Series: 14-9 vs. Rams all-time
Last meeting: Seattle 27, at St. Louis 17 (Dec. 6, 2009)
Note: When CEO Tod Leiweke explained the motivation for a coaching change he pointed to recent history. “We won nine games the last two years,” Leiweke said in January, “and with all due respect, four of those were to the St. Louis Rams.” With all due respect, that’s probably going to be a motivating factor.
