The Seahawks are one of 19 NFL teams to begin Phase One of the League’s voluntary offseason workout program today, meaning several players have trickled into Renton’s Virginia Mason Athletic Center with sights set on securing a second Lombardi Trophy.
As a reminder, Phase One of the Seahawks’ offseason program consists of a two-week workout plan limited to strength and conditioning, as well as physical rehabilitation. Seven teams with new head coaches got a jump start on Phase One two weeks ago and the remaining six clubs will resume work on Tuesday.
While today marks the official start of the offseason program in Seattle, quarterback Russell Wilson and several of his offensive teammates organized an early return to action in an unofficial capacity last week, spending time together working out at The Yard Training Center in Hermosa Beach, Calif. It was a familiar get-together in Southern California for the Seahawks, who gathered at the same facility last season in an offseason effort led by Wilson.
Below, check out the Seahawks’ offseason workout program dates, as well as social media reaction from players, coaches, and staff as the defending Super Bowl champions get back to work.
